Daughters

(June 26 - 8:17 pm)
I am planning on taking a small break, I need to get in touch with a few things in life, my daughter being one of them, probably one of the most important things in my list. I will concentrate a bit more on my journey so I will focus a bit on "Whatever it is, God is Bigger". I hope to hear from my daughter soon. Who knows, maybe my next enlightenment will bring her and I back together and mend the broken hearts between mother and daughter. *I'll visit on occasion, when the mood hits. Meanwhile, prayers (and good vibes) are definitely requested for this mother and daughter.

I miss her dearly...

“Whatever they grow up to be, they are still our children, and the one most important of all the things we can give to them is unconditional love. Not a love that depends on anything at all except that they are our children.”

Rosaleen Dickson

Daughters Lyrics
Artist(Band):John Mayer

I know a girl
She puts the color inside of my world
but she's just like a maze
Where all of the walls all continually change

And I've done all I can
To stand on her steps with my heart in my hand
Now I'm starting to see
Maybe it’s got nothing to do with me

So fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers, be good to your daughters too

Ooh, you see that skin?
It's the same she's been standing in
Since the day she saw him walking away
Now she's left cleaning up the mess he made (I don't think so!)
So fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers be good to your daughters, too

Boys, you can break
You find out how much they can take
Boys will be strong
And boys soldier on
But boys would be gone without warmth from
A woman's good, good heart

On behalf of every man
looking out for every girl
You are the god and the weight of her world

So fathers, be good to your daughters
Daughters will love like you do
Girls become lovers who turn into mothers
So mothers be good to your daughters, too
So mothers be good to your daughters, too
So mothers be good to your daughters, too

Maxine Monday

So... I'm back from our mini vacation. Went down to Corpus and stayed out in Padre Island. Can't say much for the weather, but atleast there wasn't a hurricane going through!!! It was overcast up until Saturday as we headed out for dinner, but I still managed to get out to the beach and dawn my new bikini top!! Yes, I had bottoms on, but not the matching ones that came with the top, I opted to go with some white shorts to match my white "Hello Kitty" top. The short time on the beach was nice, I wasn't out to get a tan as I had made sure that I would be tanned for the trip itself. All in all, I had a wonderful week-end relaxing and enjoying my time with the women and my man after he was done with his conference meetings.

I didn't get much of pictures from the week-end, I took no laptop with me, didn't really touch a computer the whole time I was there, so what I did manage to get of pictures was with my trusty little cell phone camera.

It's Maxine Monday....

Update on Sports Pride or Illegal Alien Pride...

I have an update to my previous posting, Sports Pride or Illegal Alien Pride...

I was looking for some enlightenment if this was a sports pride action and low and behold, it is/was... this particular co-worker (as brave as she is...with all the current events going on with the illegal immigration problems going on) was showing her pride for Mexico's team.

*The funny thing here is, even though I was on a quest to get some imput/clarification/thoughts (whatever you want to call it) on her actions being due to sports pride or "Illegal Alien Pride", I was referred to showing "racism". Me, Sugar Cat... racist... Talk about "Enlightenment"! Someone was quick to refer to my blog as "racist" but didn't offer any information or enlightenment in to the sport of Futbol. Go figure... I think I hit a nerve in this individual... Oh well, I'm sure no-one lost any sleep over it.

So here is the information that I was given at breakfast by a fellow "Mexican" co-worker, a nice one at that too, (cough - cough) and get more information on the whole event.

She was showing her support for the 2007 Copa de las Americas.

Here is a list of all the countries that have been invited to compete.

Argentina
Bahamas
Barbados
Bermuda
Bolivia
Brazil
Canada
Cayman Islands
Chile
Colombia
Costa Rica
Dominican Republic
Ecuador
El Salvador
Guatemala
Honduras
Jamaica
Mexico
Nicaragua
Panama
Paraguay
Peru
Puerto Rico
Trinidad & Tobago
Turks and Caicos Islands

Sports Pride or Illegal Alien Pride???

Upon getting to work, I drove up to this...

Translation: We are 100% "Mexicans"

Translation: Long Live Mexico

and the first thing that came to mind was WTF ????? (amongst many other things)

I could only hope that this is and was tied to Futbol! I'm not one to keep up with sports, so clue me in if it's Sports pride, but...

This person is putting herself/himself in the line of fire with all that is going on with all the Illegal Immigration issues these days... they are brave if nothing else. It's one thing to be proud of your culture and your heritage, but this is brave!!

Found this to be a bit interesting:

Saturday Musings and such...

An old Indian Chief sat in his hut on the reservation,
smoking a ceremonial pipe and eyeing two U. S.
Government officials sent to interview him.

"Chief Two Eagles," asked one Official, "You have
observed the white man for 90 years. You've seen his
wars and his technological advances. You've seen his
progress, and the damage he's done."

The Chief nodded in agreement.

The Official continued, "Considering all these events,
in your opinion, where did the white man go wrong?"

The Chief stared at the Government Officials for over
a minute and then calmly replied,

"When white man found the land, Indians were running
it."

"No taxes"

"No debt."

"Plenty buffalo."

"Plenty beaver."

"Women did all the work."

"Medicine man free."

"In dian man spent all day hunting and fishing."

"All night having sex."

Then the Chief leaned back and smiled,

"Only white man dumb enough to think he could improve
system like that."

While taking a routine vandalism report at an elementary school, I was interrupted by a little girl about 6 years old. Looking up and down at my uniform, she asked, "Are you a cop?" "Yes," I answered and continued writing the report. "My mother said if I ever needed help I should ask the police. Is that right?" "Yes, that's right," I told her. "Well, then," she said as she extended her foot toward me, "would you please tie my shoe?"

You're Like A Pencil

1. Like a pencil, you can correct your mistakes. You can't change the past, but you can rectify it. And though you can't erase history, you can erase Guilt and anger with forgiveness.

2. Like a pencil, painful sharpening can serve to Make you better. Your difficult times can actually Sharpen your skills or shape you into the person You were meant to be.

3. Like a pencil, you can do great things when you Allow yourself to be held in Someone's hand.

4. Like a pencil, you can leave your mark whenever Possible. That is what you're here for -- to leave your Mark. It may be in small ways, it may be in the lives Of people you have touched or nurtured, but you must Leave something good behind whenever you can.

5. Like a pencil, it is what is on the inside that matters. Whether it is understanding or intolerance, love or Bitterness, peace or unrest, kindness or self- Centeredness, hope or despair, courage or fear, What is on the inside matters most.

Next time you use a pencil, pause and think about That little writing tool. It teaches some great lessons About living.

Every now and then...

Everyone needs to be
"STRIPPED"...

Of ALL Inhibitions!!!
The time has come! Here and now... let's shake things up a bit.
I have always been a great fan of her music.
(I couldn't resize the video, so pardon the running over in to the side links)

I could feel it from the start, Couldn't stand to be apart.
Something 'bout you caught my eye,
Something moved me deep inside!
I don't know what you did boy but you had it
And I've been hooked ever since.
I told my mother, my brother, my sister and my friends
I told the others, my lovers, both past and present tense.
That everytime I see you everything starts making sense.

Do your thang honey!

Ain't no other man, can stand up next to you
Ain't no other man on the planet does what you do
You're the kinda guy, a girl finds in a blue moon.
You got soul, you got class.
You got syle, you bad ass - oh yeah!
Ain't no other man its true - alright -
Aint no other man but you.

Never thought I'd be alright. No, no, no! Till you came and changed my life. yeah, yeah, yeah!
What was cloudy now is clear! Yeah, yeah! You're the light that I needed.
You got waht I want boy, and I want it! So keep on givin' it up!

Tell your mother, your brother, your sister, and your friends.
And the others, your lovers, better not be present tense.
Cause I want everyone to know that you are mine and no one else's!

Ain't no other man, can stand up next to you
Ain't no other man on the planet does what you do
You're the kinds guy, a girl finds in a blue moon.
You got soul, you got class.
You got syle, you bad ass - oh yeah!

MySpace Humor

There is a funny A$$ story (actually two) that can go with this, but it would have to be told by PC as he is the one that messed with my daughter's profile on two seperate occasions such as this comic strip.

The joys of being a parent and a boyfriend to someone with teen-age kids and myspace profiles! The laughs were hilarious on our end, but my daughter's reaction... well, let's just say that she wasn't quite clear on all the comments she was receiving from friends and family until someone pointed her in the right direction of two particular posts/announcements that were made from her profile. She no longer leaves her myspace profile open to anyone that passes by the computer and most of all, but most of all, she doesn't take PC's invitation to log on to her profile while we are around.

New Look Part II

So as you all know, I was bragging about a new look in my previous post. Well, I am here to add the real reason to the new look.

Since I obtained my Ladies Smith back in December of 2006, The Way to THIS Woman's Heart... it has been difficult for me to adjust to the recoil of the wooden grip.

It has done a good number on my hand so much that the muscles around my thumb would swell up pretty bad, in fact, my hand still hurts from this Saturdays Range visit.

All I can say is that all the muscles listed by the thumb were affected. Every range visit, I insisted on working more with the Ladies Smith because, in my mind, I figured that if I got more range practice with it, that the impact of the grip would improve. Here we are six months down the road and the impact has not improved.
So, even though the look is "Slick" and "Bad Ass", I'm looking for a better feel.

New Look

WOW!! Never thought it would ever be possible! But I got excited when PC told me that my new holster was in. I even tried it out last night... just to get a "feel" of it!! DAMN! What a rush!!

Plus PC replaced my grips with the ones his Revolver had, I now have a slick BAD ASS looking Ladies Smith!!! Unfortunately, PC states that he can no longer show off his revolver since he has my old grips on his... I beg to differ!!! They didn't look THAT girlie!!! LOL!!!

I love the new look!!
LOOKIE! LOOKIE!!! hehe...

Thanks Babe!!!

Maxine Monday

Today's Maxine Monday is a sore (and I mean "SORE") reminder of my most recent endeavors of hitting the gym and the weights to obtain a decent and healthy look for our trip to Corpus next week.

I normally wouldn't share such pictures, but the changes that have been noted are pretty awesome!! I started out on April 17th and as you can see, I don't take the best pics in this world! It takes a miracle to get a good picture of me... lol... Here is a "Before"

(not a good one at that, not the photographers fault, more like mine) I have to say that I was embarrassed to receive this picture as I am not happy with the way I was carrying myself. My posture sucked majorly and what the hell with what looks like a double chin???? Anyway, here we are almost two months down the road and PC took a picture at about one month "After"...

There is definitely a difference (slight as it may be and No People, that is not my weights that I'm working with) but a good difference, especially in my posture and how I was carrying myself. I use to pride myself that I always use to carry myself in such a confident manner... what changed? Hmmmmm....

Well, we are almost at two months down the road and yesterday we sat down at dinner time and discussed what my work out routine should be like. I have my little notebook with all my routine laid out, I'll have to share it after I get in to the groove of it. Needless to say, it will be a routine that will take alot of devotion and commitment on my part, but... I'm ready!!! I now have all that I need to work out at home if I can't make it to the gym, so no excuses.

I was sharing with PC how I see a major difference in my muscle tone already in my legs and well.... other areas that were of concern to me! Looking forward to more pictures of the changes that are taking place.

Such the life of a Mexpsychan...

Shameless Plug

but well worth the time and entertainment, for me at least!

So... I'm at work and my boss approaches me for a "clicker" as he calls it. I proudly hand him the following item just freshly ordered and never been put to use. My boss was scheduled to speak to our new hires at the New Hire Orientation as usual, across the hallway in the training lab for our nurses. I had gone on-line and purchased the following items for each of our Presentation room/Board room and Training room. Well, he takes the item out of it's little carrying case and states "How cute... you are so good". I go about my work and he comes back and informs me that the unit is not working. I jokingly asked him, "What did you do to it?" his response was a smart ass one of course, but innocent enough... "I knew you would say that." Apparently he couldn't get it to work so he explained to the new staff that "Due to Technological difficulties he would have to advance his slides manually" The boss goes back to his orientation meeting.

I forged on to find out why the "clicker" is not working. I get another unit out and break open the packaging, connect the usb stick to my computer, bring up a power point slide on my system and proceed to trouble-shoot. After a few minutes of clicking buttons left and right, I realized that my boss had never removed the safety strip from the battery, innocent over look on his part, anyone would think that it was ready to go. I removed it and continued to test the unit. I experienced some glitches and skipping on the unit and couldn't figure out what was going on. A co-worker had used one at a conference he had to tape and he bragged about the quality of the unit and that I had made a good choice on the purchase. So what the heck was going on....? Well, a few minutes pass and my boss comes back to my cubicle and asked me "What are you doing? My presentation slides are skipping all over the place". He obviously was in good humor about the situation and all I could do was laugh hysterically and apologize for the inconvenience during his presentation. Who would have thought that the range on this thing would go through walls and closed doors??? I know I didn't. Thank God it wasn't the CEO of the company!! That was all I could think of on top of the laughter! I followed him to the orientation, he introduced me and I apologized to the new staff. What a way to be introduced and what a way to make an impression to staff for the technology department.

So here is the unit... something to keep in mind if you have the need for this type of technology! Maybe next time I'm ordering items such as this, I'll pay closer attention to the following information before troubleshooting...

Saturday Mornings

Sir Wally and Useless enjoying their Saturday Morning

*A friend sent this to me, so I to you all, my friends. Looks like I'm left with 1500+ Saturdays... PC can we go to the toy store and purchase some marbles.....? I think I'll start spending my Saturday mornings with the you, the cats (they look content don't they?) the dogs and the kids when they are with us as well...

The older I get, the more I enjoy Saturday mornings. Perhaps it's the quiet solitude that comes with being the first to rise, or maybe it's the unbounded joy of not having to be at work. Either way, the first few hours of a Saturday morning are most enjoyable.

A few weeks ago, I was shuffling toward the garage with a steaming cup of coffee in one hand and the morning paper in the other. What began as a typical Saturday morning turned into one of those lessons that life seems to hand you from time to time.

Let me tell you about it: I turned the dial up into the phone portion of the band on my ham radio in order to listen to a Saturday morning swap net. Along the way, I came across an older sounding chap, with a tremendous signal and a golden voice. You know the kind; he sounded like he should be in the broadcasting business. He was telling whom-ever he was talking with something about "a thousand marbles." I was intrigued and stopped to listen to what he had to say.

"Well, Tom, it sure sounds like you're busy with your job. I'm sure they pay you well but it's a shame you have to be away from home and your family so much. Hard to believe a young fellow should have to work sixty or seventy hours a week to make ends meet. It's too bad you missed your daughter's "dance recital" he continued. "Let me tell you something that has helped me keep my own priorities." And that's when he began to explain his theory of a "thousand marbles."

"You see, I sat down one day and did a little arithmetic. The average person lives about seventy-five years. I know, some live more and some live less, but on average, folks live about seventy-five years.

"Now then, I multiplied 75 times 52 and I came up with 3900, which is the number of Saturdays that the average person has in their entire lifetime. Now, stick with me, Tom, I'm getting to the important part.

It took me until I was fifty-five years old to think about all this in any detail", he went on, "and by that time I had lived through over twenty-eight hundred Saturdays." "I got to thinking that if I lived to be seventy-five, I only had about a thousand of them left to enjoy. So I went to a toy store and bought every single marble they had. I ended up having to visit three toy stores to round up 1000 marbles. I took them home and put them inside a large, clear plastic container right here in the shack next to my gear."

"Every Saturday since then, I have taken one marble out and thrown it away. I found that by watching the marbles diminish, I focused more on the really important things in life.

There is nothing like watching your time here on this earth run out to help get your priorities straight."

"Now let me tell you one last thing before I sign-off with you and take my lovely wife out for breakfast. This morning, I took the very last marble out of the container. I figure that if I make it until next Saturday then I have been given a little extra time. And the one thing we can all use is a little more time."

"It was nice to meet you Tom, I hope you spend more time with your family, and I hope to meet you again here on the band. This is a 75 Year old Man, K9NZQ, clear and going QRT, good morning!"

You could have heard a pin drop on the band when this fellow signed off. I guess he gave us all a lot to think about. I had planned to work on the antenna that morning, and then I was going to meet up with a few hams to work on the next club newsletter. Instead, I went upstairs and woke my wife up with a kiss. "C'mon honey, I'm taking you and the kids to breakfast." "What brought this on?" she asked with a smile. "Oh, nothing special, it's just been a long time since we
spent a Saturday together with the kids. And hey, can we stop at a toy store while we're out? I need to buy some marbles.

And so, as one smart bear once said..."If you live to be a hundred, I want to live to be a hundred minus one day, so I never have to live without you." - Winnie the Pooh.

This is funny, we would all love to do something like this.
This is an actual job application that a 75 year old senior citizen submitted to Walmart in Arkansas.

They hired him because he was so funny.....
NAME: Jack Buckley (Grumpy Bastard)
SEX: Not lately, but I am looking for the right woman (or at least one who will cooperate)
DESIRED POSITION: Company's President or Vice President. But seriously, whatever's available. If I was in a position to be picky, I wouldn't be applying here in the first place ?
DESIRED SALARY: $185,000 a year plus stock options and a Michael Ovitz style severance package. If that's not possible, make an offer and we can haggle.
EDUCATION: Yes.
LAST POSITION HELD: Target for middle management hostility.
PREVIOUS SALARY: A lot less than I'm worth.
MOST NOTABLE ACHIEVEMENT: My incredible collection of stolen pens and post-it notes.!
REASON FOR LEAVING: It sucked.
HOURS AVAILABLE TO WORK: Any.
PREFERRED HOURS: 1:30-3:30 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.
DO YOU HAVE ANY SPECIAL SKILLS?: Yes, but they're better suited to a more intimate environment.
MAY WE CONTACT YOUR CURRENT EMPLOYER?: If I had one, would I be here?
DO YOU HAVE ANY PHYSICAL CONDITIONS THAT WOULD PROHIBIT YOU FROM LIFTING UP TO 50 lbs.?: Of what?
DO YOU HAVE A CAR?: I think the more appropriate question here would be "Do you have a car that runs?"
HAVE YOU RECEIVED ANY SPECIAL AWARDS OR RECOGNITION?: I may already be a winner of the Publishers Clearing House Sweepstakes, so they tell me.
DO YOU SMOKE?: On the job - no!
On my breaks - yes!
WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE DOING IN FIVE YEARS?: Living in the Bahamas with a fabulously wealthy dumb sexy blonde supermodel who thinks I'm the greatest thing since sliced bread. Actually, I'd like to be doing that now.
NEAREST RELATIVE....7 miles
DO YOU CERTIFY THAT THE ABOVE IS TRUE AND COMPLETE TO THE BEST OF YOUR KNOWLEDGE?: Oh yes, absolutely.

Repost from "Whatever It Is, God Is Bigger"

Bear with me as things have been a bit unsettling this week... so here is a repost from my other site.

God says you need to love even those people who are difficult or seemingly impossible to love. The mark of true believers is the love they have for each other and for those who are not part of God’s family. Did you know there usually is a reason that some people are very difficult to love? More than likely, part of the problem is that they don’t have enough love, which means they need your love the most of all! You have your own personality, and it probably meshes better with certain other personalities. But even with the differences between people, you can still love others with the love God has shown to you. You will be amazed how much things will change if you just take that first step of faith and love the unlovely people around you. They are desperate for love and friendship, and you might make all the difference.
