PhotoHunt: Theme: WOODEN

Let me introduce you to TnChick, I ran across her site via: Sarge Charlie. Upon reading through her blog, it intrigued me enough to also keep going back. I love her idea of Photo Hunt Theme. I've attempted in two weeks to join the fun of hunting for pictures to follow the theme for the day, and even better, to get to know many new fellow bloggers. What a way to expand the mind and list of possible friends!

So, with today's theme, I only have one thing that came to mind, that would be my WOODEN chair that was made by my son in high school. He's 22 now (soon to be 23) but it has gone through many life changes with me and it still follows me every where I go. It brings me much comfort every time I see it and sit in it.

It's a great thing when our children can be taught how to build with their hands, my WOODEN chair is weather worn, but it still puts forth alot of love because that's what was put in to it when it was made, piece by piece. I love you son...

I will always cherish my WOODEN chair!

The Love of a Mother Sometimes HURTS TOO MUCH

As I sit here in tears, I ask for nothing but patience and understanding, mostly from my beloved daughter...

I'm sure many of you know how much my children mean to me... and right now, I'm having to accept the fact that my baby daughter... (ok, so you're not a baby anymore, but you will ALWAYS be the baby of the family who is soon to be 21!) is moving away again to Salt Lake City, Utah on March 27th.

She has come a long way from this picture...

3 Months Old

I blogged about her back on June 25, 2007, when we had some difficulties communicating. Enough time and prayers brought us back together. Thank you Lord! Now, she's moving away again. Even though she has proven to be able to take good care of herself and her responsibilities, it's still very hard to accept her moving away, just as it was when her oldest brother moved away.

My heart aches for them, I lift them all in prayer every single morning, I know she is in good hands, God always has her safe and that is what keeps me going without worrying so much.

Through the years, I've seen her grow to be a beautiful and wonderful woman! I'm very blessed that God has given you to me, to help care for and nurture you. I know I haven't always exemplified all the qualities of "Mother of the Year", but there was no instruction booklet that came with you at birth. We do what is best in our minds, we follow the examples that were set by our parents (it's all we know) and there are times when we even struggle NOT to raise you like our parents did, (Keep in mind "Grandma"... lol). At this point I have to stop and say, "I thank You, Lord, for entrusting me with this HUGE job of raising my children."

*Unfortunately the slideshow is "failing to load" so click on "View All Images" to view her slideshow and watch her transform to a beautiful grown up daughter.

The heart of a mother is a deep abyss at the bottom of which you will always find forgiveness.

Honore de Balzac

Mothers

There is no love, like a mother's love,
no stronger bond on earth...
like the precious bond that comes from God,
to a mother, when she gives birth.
A mother's love is forever strong,
never changing for all time...
and when her children need her most,
a mother's love will shine.
God bless these special mothers,
God bless them every one...
for all the tears and heartache,
and for the special work they've done.
When her days on earth are over,
a mother's love lives on...
through many generations,
with God's blessings on each one.
Be thankful for our mothers,
for they love with a higher love...
from the power God has given,
and the strength from up above.

A Mother's love is a lifelong commitment to selflessness.

Manic Monday 2

Ok, so... here lately I've been blogging around and checking out some new faces... I was very enlightened by Sarge Charlie since he stopped in and paid me a visit, I have been a returning reader since. His love and devotion for his lovely wife, Empress Bee (of the High Sea), has me believing that there is true love and leaves me hopeful...

Upon reading what Manic Monday's word was... I couldn't help but follow in some footsteps. For those who know me, know that I have come a long way, I've had my days of loneliness, emptiness and feeling of "Is there someone out there for me that is meant to be my Knight in Shining Armor on that white horse..." I thought for sure I was meant to be alone, until one day... I recieved an email...

I met that Knight in Shining Armor, back in October of 2005, love can be found on the internet... especially if you really ain't looking! I still say that God Blessed My Broken Road when he had our paths cross. Thank you Lord! Maybe one day, I'll share the story of that infamous request for meeting for "Just One Beer" that turned in to TWO...

"You plus me... I love the way that adds up."

2/15/08

In the two years that we have been dating, we have also acquired TWO cats that were abandoned at his work...

Sir Wally (Gray Cat) and Useless (That's a whole different blog!)

We also have two dogs... Miss Bear and Squatlo, they're ok, just soaking up the sun.

PC has TWO Precious children ( I have three so I can't share them this time)

and finally, TWO precious lives that we couldn't save...

With Every Breath

With Every Breath

With every breath I take today,
I vow to be awake;

And every step I take,
I vow to take with a grateful heart--

So I may see with eyes of love
into the hearts of all I meet,

To ease their burden when I can
And touch them with a smile of peace.

Baby.... I Wanna Know

I realized something today... one doesn't have to always have to have words to express the immense love that is felt for another person.

So much has come to light for me today. Two years in to my relationship with Pc, and I have grown in to a very independant woman, and along the way, it is he that has brought so much in to my life that has made me so independant. I AM THE LUCKIEST WOMAN ON THIS EARTH!

I Love you PC.... Con Todo Mi Corazon...
Happy Valentines Day Baby
Te Amo Mi Amor

*My version of I wanna know...

It's amazing how you knock me off my feet, hmm
Everytime you come around me I get weak, oh yeah
Nobody ever made me feel this way, oh
You kiss my lips and then you take my breath away
So I wanna know
I wanna know what turns you on
So I can be all that and more
I'd like to know what makes you cry
So I can be the one who always makes you smile
*She never understood what you were worth, hmm no

And she never took the time to make it work
(You deserve more loving)
Baby I'm the kind of woman who shows concern, yes I do, oh
Anyway that I can please you let me learn
So I wanna know

Tell me what I gotta do to please you
Baby anything you say I'll do
Cause I only wanna make you happy
From the bottom of my heart, it's true
I wish that I could take a journey through your mind, alright
And find emotions that you always try to hide babe, oh
I do believe that there's a love you wanna share, oh, oh
I'll take good care of you, have no fear, oh
So I wanna know

Late but still a great memory

We had a great week-end last weeek... I'm a week late, but none-the-less... It's still fresh in my mind!

I got to see my son for his birthday, it was a day late, but I was able to give him his Christmas gifts and also help somewhat celebrate his 27th birthday! It hit hard that my son is 3 years away from being 30! He's not old... I am! LOL!!! I love you son! With All My Heart! I wish you much success and peace in your heart! Keep reaching for your dreams! Never stop reaching!

On another note... we also enjoyed some quality blues music at The Hideaway at Dunvale. Let me introduce you to Texas Johnny Brown...

Wishing everyone a very Happy Valentines Day...
