My Grownup Christmas List

When I first heard this song... I felt a strong tug at my heart and it continues to pull the strings to my heart, to the point of bringing tears to my eyes. Someone was able to put in to words, what I feel and think,on a daily basis. Those near and dear to me, those that I have never met, those that I never knew existed...

So... here is "My Grownup Christmas List"...

Those that have no home, those that have lost dear ones, the list goes on. This time of year is always a difficult one for some people, this time of year screams togetherness, family, unity and when a family has experienced divorce or seperation, loss of loved ones due to illness, crime. Blended families experience the difficult decisions of whose family do we visit first, children and parents split in two directions. So many stressful situations rise....

I can only hope that my family and those families that have come across my path have a very Joyous and Peaceful Holiday. My prayers to our military men and women and their families as well.

A FAMILY TRADITION !

So..... I've been tagged

Sues and Douglas V. Gibbs, [Ebyjo tried to spare me - Thank you ;) ] and Porta's Cat have all "Tagged" me...

So here I am, following through to the best of my ability.

I'm afraid I may be a bit late for the Christmas Meme but here it goes.... thinking back to two days back.... play with me here:

"Ok, this is how it works: The player (me) must list 3 things that I would love to get for Christmas. Then I must list 3 things that I definitely do not want to get for Christmas. Then I tag 5 friends and list their names. (I'm afraid that tagging at this point on this one just won't be the same since XMAS is upon us).

Here's the three things I would have loved to get for Christmas:

1. All three children home for Christmas. I'd like to go back to all our old traditions, Baking cookies on Christmas Eve and leaving a plate for Santa by the tree with a cold glass of milk, drinking Eggnog and playing Christmas music and watching the classic Christmas Movies. Decorating the Christmas tree and having all three children hanging their first baby ornament and the traditional picture being taken of each of them doing so. *My oldest didn't make it home, he is in Austin and he had to work Christmas Eve and the day after. This made it to be the very first Christmas without him and him without any family for Christmas. He had no family to spend it with in Austin. No presents, no dinners... This sucked major for me, yes... I cried... I did get to enjoy the best thing next to this... I had Christmas with PC, his kids, his mom, stepdad and grandfather. I felt like I was family within this home. It was more than I could have ever asked for. I love you babe, thank you. My other two children came over late Christmas Day along with my daughters boyfriend and PC, we all had a wonderful evening and we even ventured out to Denny's for dinner. I love you all. Thank you for a wonderful Christmas!

2. My Smith and Wesson 642 (Lady Smith) and my CHL license in the mail. *Yes... I got the Smith and Wesson but not the license! :) Pictures forthcoming, meanwhile... this is close enough for now....

3. A CD Player for my car. I'm so tired of not being able to listen to good music. I'm fixed on "stuff" that's just repetitive. I've been asking for a CD Player now for about three years, actually since my cassette tape player in my car broke. I have to say, I'm a bit luckier than my daughter, she has had no radio, since they broke in to her car a few months back. So I really can't complain can I? *I gave my daughter an MP3 Flash Drive with a headset so she can atleast have something to listen to in her car.

Now for three things that I don't want for Christmas:

1. I don't want any drama on my Christmas Day. I want to enjoy my time with PC, his kids, his family and my kids. No drama needed... It's a day of love, peace and joy. *I got my wish and more.

2. I don't want any of our men and women that are away from home to have to suffer more than they need to. They hurt enough being away from their loving families and homes.

3. I don't want any hurt in the world, I don't want loneliness to exist, I don't want my family, friends, and distant blogger friends to go through painful times. *This got deep, didn't it? I'm sorry... This is how it is my friends...

I just want Peace, Love and Joy for the whole world.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

So this is christmas
And what have you done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
And so this is christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear ones
The old and the young a very merry christmas
And a happy new year
Let’s hope it’s a good one
Without any fear and so this is christmas
For weak and for strong
For rich and the poor ones
The war is so long
And so happy christmas
For black and for white
For yellow and red ones
Let’s stop all the fight a very merry christmas
And a happy new year
Let’s hope it’s a good one
Without any fear and so this is christmas
And what have we done
Another year over
And a new one just begun
And so happy christmas
I hope you have fun
The near and the dear ones
The old and the young a very merry christmas
And a happy new year
Let’s hope it’s a good one
Without any fear and so this is christmas
And what have we done
Another year over
And a new one just begun

Wishing all fellow bloggers and dear friends a Very Merry Christmas
