Recovering well and looking forward to my weekend
This is the week-end that will let me know just how well I've been following doctor orders. I'm recovering well... went to the doctor's yesterday so that they could remove the tube and bulb that was left in me for drainage purposes. My experience with that you might ask? Well... as I shared with my niece...
It hurt like nothing I've ever experienced! I thought if I could go through Natural Childbirth... anything else is a piece of cake. She tried to tell me that it would only burn, and that she "would not be pulling the tubing out as if she was trying to start a lawnmower". Well, after all the comforting she tried to relay, she hands me a stress ball to hold on to for the process. I knew then, it was going to hurt like hell! Sure enough, when she asked me to let her know when I was ready, I commenced to say a prayer to get me to focus and not fear the unknown of the pain to come, I told her, "Let's just get it done with", she RIPPED that sucker out as if she WAS trying to start a lawn mower! OMG! I didn't have the bedside manner that I had hoped! I let out an astounding "SH*T!" Bit my lip as tears rolled out of my eyes! I couldn't breathe! I finally heard her tell me "Breathe, breathe through the pain." It felt like a good five minutes that the pain lasted.... the tubing was about two - three inches inside of me... and it did hurt and burn like living hell! I'm just glad that part is said and done!
I'm moving around more and sleeping a bit more comfortable, no more fort as pictured below.
This week-end proves to be good and fun. My son is scheduled to come in to town and spend the week-end with friends and family, the HIGHLIGHT of my week-end. I can't wait to see him. We also have tickets to go see The Astros Vs. The Cardinals... can't wait! Thanks to a co-worker for the tickets... ;)
