Remotely Controlled - What Television is Doing to our Brains

*Now before I start, although this is a true story, all names are being withheld to secure the privacy of a particular "wanna be blonde". I am putting out a disclaimer that I am not and will not be held responsible for any "blonde" moments that may occur from this story being revealed! People need to be warned of such addictions!

How television is damaging our lives - and what we can do about it...

The link between watching television and physical and psychological damage is neither a concoction nor an exaggeration. Highly respected medical bodies have voiced clear concerns, and the normally conservative mainstream medical and scientific journals have published worrying associations between television viewing and health.

*In this case, I think it did!!! You know you have a problem when you get up in the morning, and begin your day as usual and amongst all the preperation in gathering your items to head out the door for work, you gather your purse/wallet, keys, briefcase, lunch AND a REMOTE CONTROL for the TV!! When you get to the point that the remote feels so normal in your hands amongst your keys, you need to commit yourself in to and OCD unit "somewhere"!!! Or a HOPE unit for assurance that there is HOPE in your life and that you can let go of that REMOTE Control! That remote is not going to work from your office my friend, especially miles away from your actual television. Unless you have some high powered infrared system going on here that some of us aren't aware of!!

It is said that:

"television 'can negatively affect early brain development".

There is now growing concern that watching television distorts the wiring in the developing brain. The advice now is that children should not start watching television before the age of three. *(What age did you start watching TV?)
