What it is to be a Woman….

Ok, I guess this would fall in that little “weird” thing about me categories… so bear with me, roll your eyes, shake your head and just keep thinking…. “Women”.

I will never, never, go out the front door of the house without make up. I’m not one of these women that is totally anal, but… even if I’m just lying around the apartment, I just can’t go for too long without makeup.

I use to carry my make-up with me everywhere, well ok, I still do. I have my purse and a small make-up bag, small enough it fits in my purse, I mean the smallest that you can find. When I go out for the evening, I will usually just carry my make-up bag and throw in my DL and keys in to it. On one occasion now in the last six years, I have lost my make-up bag at a club. Luckily I didn’t have anything but the make-up in it, but as all the women out there know, it costs a fortune to replace. Now, I don’t wear a lot of make-up, my make-up consists of the following: Concealer, base, lip liner, lipstick, lip shine, eye liner (dry and wet) and mascara.

I don’t wear eye shadow unless it’s a night out on the town. As you can see, there is not a lot here; eight items in all. Well, as I said, it can be a fortune to replace. Aside from losing my make-up bag on one occasion, I have forgotten it on a few other occasions and I will turn back home to get it, otherwise, I’ve learned because of these incidents to have a back up. So… I purchased a second small make-up bag and the same items that I use daily and I started carrying one in the car at all times. I have one at PC’s place as a back-up as well. It’s come in handy on a few occasions.

Well, last night I got home after work and decided to clean out my car, and since I started this new job, I had a few travel mugs in the car and a few jackets as well. It was dark by the time I made it home, my jacket(s) are black, my purse is black, my business carrying case is black, and then of course my make-up bag is black. So I grabbed everything and made my way in to my apt. Well, this morning I couldn’t find my make-up bag!!! It wasn’t in the car! I looked all over the apt too, of course with my time being limited. Well, guess what? I had to stop in at Walgreens at 7 am and purchase a whole new make-up bag and make-up. So now, I have three bags going… one at PC’s, one in my car (if I find the one at the apt.) and this new one…. which will probably stay here at work, (just in case).
