Thought for the day...

I received this in an email from a dear friend, thank you Faulkner!! I just had to share the thought... *the jpgs are from my own collection but I found them to fit this blog perfect...

Sometimes we forget... but part of the thought for today (as it should be every day...!) is....

Email:

In case we find ourselves starting to believe all the anti-American sentiment and negativity, we should remember England 's Prime Minister Tony Blair's words during a recent interview. When asked by one of his Parliament members why he believes so much in America, he said:

"A simple way to take measure of a country is to look at how many want in .... and how many want
out.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you:

1. Jesus Christ
2. The American
G.I.

One died for your soul, .. the other for your freedom
."

A big heart felt Thank You to all Military Men and Women fighting for my freedom!!!

My thoughts and perception of things:

I don't always show my devotion to my country in here (in words on every single post)... but know this, I am 100%, Hardcore American! I may be Mexican in culture, but I am first and foremost an American! I don't classify myself any different from my neighbor(s). There is and should be no division when it comes to races when it comes to supporting our country... We should all work towards the same goal... TOGETHER! The safety of our country and those that can not protect themselves...

I'm just a small little "pee-on" in this big melting pot of ours, but I have my thoughts and my beliefs... and I'm entitled to them. I know my thoughts can open a can of worms for many, and you can disagree with me, that's part of your God given right and the rights that our men and women have fought for and laid down their lives for.... So go at it, leave your "bloody" negative comments if need be... It's a free country... won't change my thoughts and beliefs.

My father and three brothers fought for this country AND our freedom, and never will I forget that gift they laid down for us, for me.... I'm off my little "pee-on" soap box... just the thought of some people like Kerry, with their "idiot" remarks and thoughts can get the best of me at times. I am a peace-loving woman... don't really like the politics scene. I sit back quietly (and probably not the best thing to do...) and just live my life to make a small difference in my surrounding world.

For those of you with a stronger voice, stop in and join TexasFred and LittleOleLady in the blogroll: Kerry Must Go... I have yet to join it... but my thoughts and support are with them and every one that joins the blogroll.
