Pets and their loving ways...
I was exhausted yesterday, long day... not so much in work, but in thoughts and mind. I was ready to go home and just make some candles and relax. Useless had other things in mind for me. For those of you who don't remember or haven't been introduced, here are some links to either jog your memory or just to introduce you to Useless "The Cat".

I came upon Useless through Porta's Cat, Thank you PC! I don't think I would have managed through the Empty Nest Syndrome when my daughter moved out if I hadn't taken in Useless!! Really, thank you…
As I opened the door to the apartment, first thoughts were “Oh God!!” I didn’t want to take another step further. I also didn’t want to shed light in to the apartment!! I wasn’t quite sure what I was looking at; Useless either got in to something, or had a kitty litter party in my living and dining area. It didn’t “smell” like a kitty litter party, so I decided to be brave and venture in to the apartment only to find that Useless had managed to get to the shelf where I had my daughters dried roses from her birthday and graduation day!

If anyone knows me, they know that I love dried roses, especially if they have a sentimental attachment such as my baby girl turning 18 and graduating on the same day! Big stepping stone for her!
Anyway… so, here is this layout, waiting just for me… I wasn’t quite sure what to make of the “Sheepish Grin” on this cat! Not sure if his thoughts were more of, “See mom? See what I did for you?” or “Wasn’t me!! I gang of cats came by and decided to let loose and have a party here! I kept telling them that I wasn’t allowed to have friends over, but they wouldn’t hear of it!!” or better yet, “DON’T EVER LEAVE ME ALONE AGAIN!!!”
I walked in, placed my things down on the table and walked right back out of the apartment! Drove across the street to the grocery store and purchased some film and a six pack of wine coolers. Drove back to the apartment and Useless was wanting attention, he either wanted to be praised for his act of love or he was Kissing MAJOR A##!! Still don’t know…
He figured he must have done something very loving because as I started to take pictures, he propped himself in front of the camera along with his “gift” to me so that I NEVER forget who did it. Not only did I find the shredded roses, but he also managed to take the paper towels down from the kitchen counter and place his own claw pattern on the towels. Shredded roses and paper towels! What else could any loving mother want from her loving cat?
(Yes PC, the cat is driving me to drinking… lol… actually I only had one and I love the cat none-the-less!)
Well, I managed after about half an hour to an hour to finally clean it up, I reveled in the shredded roses and paper towels and decided; I still have my memories of that special day, those can never be shredded (also luckily for me, I had separated the two dozen roses and placed some in my bedroom on top of my dresser, NOTE: my bedroom door stays closed while I’m gone!)
Pictures forthcoming this evening hopefully.... Stay tuned.
Here's to all pets and their loving ways...
Don't get me wrong people, I love the idea of walking in to a room, with rose petals strewn across the floor, but with candles lit and some romantic music playing in the background, maybe even a bath drawn for me and some candles and a glass of wine waiting for me too. Useless didn't know this...
