Big Girls Workout

As much as I've been known to be "improper" at times, this post is not meant to be "improper", yet some of the female bodybuilders and female fitness athletes, tend to dress to show their physique... all pictures were selected carefully.

I was recently asked if I was ready and willing in engaging in a "Big Girl's Workout"...

I responded with a yes (AND a bit of a whimper...), I'm not getting any younger and I realize that I need to start eating and living healthier than I attempt to already. I lost 45 lbs. in the last three years and have been successful in maintaining my weight. After many crash diets, Atkins was the diet that worked for me and even though I have attempted to do some working out and excercising with some weights, I have never been very disciplined and well, as I mentioned, I'm not getting any younger. So as soon as the Doctor releases me, I'll be getting a bit more serious with my determination to eat, sleep and live healthier.

In saying yes, I decided to do some quick research and ran across profiles of women that made me realize, that I was completely and utterly wrong in my perception of all women bodybuilders, fitness athletes, fitness models and health training women being freakishly over muscled.

There are many, many women that really take their bodies seriously when it comes to living healthy. I know that I barely skimmed the surface and there is so much more to read and so many women that have really made a name for themselves in their competitions, but I wasn't out to get information on the competition side to it, just the healthy lifestyle outlook of some of these women. I'm far from knowledgable in this area... there are professionals that make a living in guiding and training people when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle.

I was glad that I could be enlightened in this area. I know that I'm far from where these women are in their lives as these women have made weight training a way of day to day living, for both competition and lifestyle.

I'm also far from becoming what these women have accomplished, but I hope to make some good changes in my life when it comes to eating healthier and excercising. I foresee some good changes ahead.

I had problems with uploading images tonight (auuuughhhhh), so I couldn't add the pictures of Tisha Rodrigues and Ava Cowan.
