Although these are all tragic deaths, I just have a hard time believing or supporting the theory of text messaging being the culprit?

I agree that cell phones (and text messaging) being a culprit while driving being the cause of car accidents, but to a shooting or a someone being killed by a train (as they are walking on the railroad tracks) is going a bit far. Again I feel for the families, but this can be chalked up to the media!

Something needed to bring their ratings up, sell more papers, and attract more viewers. A different angle of some warped sense.
