Sunday Musings
Well, I'm up at the crack of dawn today...a day that is usually spent sleeping in just a bit before heading to church. Yes, I do go to church on occasion. I have faltered of lately only because I was out "playing" house and so busy "nesting". But it hasn't stopped from dropping to my knees. I do have alot to be thankful for! I do miss the peacefulness that comes about me and washes through me after attending mass. I'm not a perfect Catholic, by far, as my previous posting would confirm. But at the same time, I live as best as anyone else can and I'm not harming anyone physically or emotionally... I treat all those around me as I would want to be treated. I turn the other cheek (maybe more than I should, for my own good) and I never go to bed mad. I've even been looking at getting an annulment from my first marriage, I just want to be able to feel right within the church so to say and be able to accept Sacrament. Right now I can't...and that makes me feel empty sometimes.
Anyway, today is the last day of my Spring Break and what a better way to spend it but in meeting PC's mother and grandfather. OMG! Yes, I will have to be on my best behavior! lol... Actually, if you've read my "about me" section...you'll get the idea of who I am and that I can behave actually! LOL...
Life is too short, live it to the fullest, but in the same process, don't hurt anyone either physically or mentally or otherwise.
This poem made it's way around myspace and I just feel compelled to share it... Thanks JL, Suzanne and my love and thoughts go out to Janie...she recently learned that she does not have much more longer to live and she's fighting a fight...
I was shocked, confused, bewildered
as I entered Heaven's door,
Not by the beauty of it all,
by the lights of its decor,
But it was the folks in Heaven
who made me sputter and gasp--
the thieves, the liars, the sinners,
the alcoholics, the trash.
There stood the kid from seventh grade
who swiped my lunch money twice.
Next to him was my old neighbor
who never said anything nice.
Herb, who I always thought
was rotting away in hell,
was sitting pretty on cloud nine,
looking incredibly well.
I nudged Jesus, "What's the deal?
I would love to hear Your take.
How'd all these sinners get up here?
God must've made a mistake.
And why's everyone so quiet,
so somber? Give me a clue."
"Hush, child," said He "They're all in shock.
No one thought they'd see you.
" Judge NOT.
See you all on the flip side of things... back to reality for me tomorrow... after the dentist visit that is.
