PhotoHunt: Theme: THIRTEEN

Well, my blogging has been extremely sporadic! I hate it! Just not enough time in a day...

This week, I thought I'd jump the gun and get in on it early... yes, Friday night is early for me on this. PC is working tonight, the kids are watching Sponge Bob and I thought I would take this opportunity to post for this Saturday's theme for PHOTO HUNT: THIRTEEN


TnChick has picked this weeks theme as THIRTEEN. Oddly enough, my favorite number is 13... The number THIRTEEN brings to mind the following things.

See, my birthday just passed, it was on April THIRTEEN. 47 years ago, I was born. I came in to this world and just tickled the daylights out of my parents, my three brothers and sister. lol... Ok, so they might not have been tickled to death, I might have been more like a pain, but a cute one, wouldn't you say??? HA!

My sister was born on May THIRTEEN... She's special to me, I have always looked up to her. She's a very strong woman, and very independent, something that I've always wanted to be... I'm getting there sis... I'm getting there... She is what holds this family together, her strength and her strong belief in "family"... I love you sis...

I also use to live at 413 Saipan, I know... there's a 4 in front of the THIRTEEN, but the THIRTEEN is what always distinguished our house... That house, my childhood home, is no longer there. It's been bulldozed by the city due to the last flood that over took the whole neighborhood. I blogged about it here.

The house had already been abandoned in the above picture... We were very blessed that my mom was not in the house when the flood hit.

As you can see, there is no 413 Saipan any more. My childhood memories, are just that... memories. I can't drive by any more and see the house I grew up in, the house that dad worked so hard to give us.

THIRTEEN is simply a SPECIAL number in my life.
